Introduction
Under some special circumstances, it may not be possible for the Jira user to update their Out of Office settings in advance.
It is possible for Jira Admins to step in to help with the update on their behalf. This will allow operations to run smoothly.
Steps
This can only be done by users who has Jira Admins permissions

Go to Apps → Manage Apps

Click on Out of Office for Jira Cloud → Add Out Of Office Rule for User option on the left sidebar

Click Add One-time Rule button

Fill in OOO details by selecting the OOO User and other relevant details

Click on Submit button to save

The saved entry will be displayed in the list of OOO rules added by the administrator

The OOO rule can be accessed/modified by the user
