Security Governance and Risk Management

  • Our apps do not store customer data externally in order to minimise our risks.

    • For on-premise apps, they are stored locally on the Jira/Confluence servers.

    • For Cloud apps, they are stored on Atlassian infrastructure.

  • We maintain internal security and privacy policies that are reviewed periodically.

  • Security considerations are incorporated into design, development, testing, and operations.

  • We assess security and operational risks for new features and significant changes.

  • Staff with access to customer data receive guidance on security and privacy responsibilities.

Secure Development and Change Management

  • Changes to application code are tracked in version control and subject to review.

  • We follow secure coding practices to reduce common vulnerabilities such as injection, cross-site scripting, and insecure direct object references.

  • Changes are tested in non-production environments before release where practicable.

  • Only authorized personnel can approve and deploy changes to production systems.

Vulnerability Management

  • We monitor for security updates relevant to the technologies we use.

  • Critical and high‑severity vulnerabilities in our environments are prioritized for remediation.

  • We patch or mitigate known vulnerabilities within commercially reasonable timeframes, taking into account severity and exploitability.

  • For Vulnerability Disclosure

    • We encourage responsible disclosure of potential security issues affecting our apps or systems.

    • Security issues can be reported to our Service Desk.

    • We will acknowledge receipt, investigate in good faith, and work to remediate confirmed issues.

Incident Response and Customer Notification

  • We maintain processes to detect, assess, and respond to suspected security incidents.

  • If we confirm a security incident that materially affects the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of customer data or our apps, we will:

    • Investigate the scope and impact.

    • Take steps to contain and remediate the issue.

    • Provide affected customers with timely information, subject to legal and confidentiality obligations.

  • After significant incidents, we review root causes and improve controls where appropriate.

Access Control and Authentication

  • Access to production systems and data is restricted to authorized personnel based on job role and necessity.

  • Administrative access requires strong authentication mechanisms where supported.

  • Accounts are provisioned and deprovisioned following documented processes (for example, upon role changes or termination).

  • Access rights are periodically reviewed.
