List of Problems identified by Attachment Checker

User has uploaded a very large PPT with many embedded images and video

Confluence becomes irresponsive suddenly

• Confluence needs to process the file for indexing/rendering/export

• There is some backend scanning

Use the Large Attachment Tracker to check if someone uploaded a very large file during the reported slowness timing

Confluence attachments have null creation date and null creator

• It is not possible to know when the file was uploaded and who uploaded the attachment

• Unable to import to Confluence Cloud

• Unable to edit page title

• Unable to retrieve content for trashed pages

Unknown bug

• CONFSERVER-59982 - Content creation date is null, resulting in failure to import to Cloud

• CONFSERVER-60169 - Draft creation date is null, unable to edit page title

• CONFSERVER-65304 - Page creation date is null, unable to retrieve content for trashed pages

It will add a comment in the page to report the error when the creation date is null

Some of the attachments are missing and cannot be downloaded. Even though there is a record in the database, but the underlying file is not found in its location

Data Loss

• The file are not copied over during migration

• The files are deleted/quaratined silently by virus scanner in the backend

• Some other unknown bugs

• The Hidden Risk of running Virus Scanners on Confluence

Run a scan with the Missing Attachment Scanner to check if the files are still physically intact

Confluence spaces not deleted cleanly

Confluence space cannot be accessed or searched by any user, including the space owner

The database has multiple spaces with the same LOWERSPACEKEY value due to database manipulation or any other activity performed directly on the backend

• Confluence space is not accessible due to NonUniqueResultException

The Quota Summary will report such occurrence
