Cloud Edition of Attachment Checker

We have received many requests from our supportive users enquiring about the Cloud edition of Attachment Checker.

As the architecture for Atlassian Cloud differs greatly from Atlassian Data Center, it is not possible to deliver the same set of features in Cloud.

• We do not wish to make a copy of your attachments into our servers to do virus scanning

  • That will be slow and the data egress incurs unnecessary risks and responsibilities

• We are unable to intercept your file uploads.

  • It is only possible to check the file after it has been uploaded into Atlassian Cloud

• It is not easy to do bulk scanning of attachments with REST API requests and rate limits in an efficient manner

However, we are trying our best to support you in your transition to Atlassian Cloud.

We built another new app - File Type Checker for Jira Cloud which Atlassian admins can define the allowlist/denylist for attachments uploads.
