Dashboard Folders Administration
The functions in this configuration page is restricted to Jira Administrators only
Only Jira Administrators can:
set default setting for the Dashboard Folder plugin
delegate other user groups to help them configure Dashboard Folders.
Navigating to Dashboard Folders Administration
Click Settings → Issues on the top right hand corner
Click Dashboard Folders Administration under Dashboard Folders Configuration section on the left panel
Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut if you are Jira Administrator:
Key 'g' + 'g' consecutively on any Jira page
Type Dashboard Folders Administration in the search box
Click Dashboard Folders Administration
Dashboard Folders Default Setting
Default Dashboard Sidebar State
The Jira Administrator can set the default state of the Dashboard Sidebar to collapsed or expanded.

By default when Dashboard Folders is first installed, the Dashboard Sidebar default state will be collapsed.
If a user has never changed the Dashboard Sidebar state or if the user account is new, it will follow the default state of the Dashboard Sidebar set by Jira Administrator.
Otherwise if a user has changed the Dashboard Sidebar state, then the user preference will take precedence.

Dashboard Folders Administrator
The Dashboard Folders Administrator will be able to:
See the full list of Dashboard Folders
Add/Edit/Delete Dashboard Folders
Edit the permission on each Dashboard Folders
Manage the Dashboards within each Dashboard Folders
Configuring Dashboard Folders Administrator
To add Dashboard Folders Administrator group:
Search for the Group in "Group" field
Select the target Group
Click on "Add" button
To remove Dashboard Folders Administrator group:
Click the dustbin icon to the right of this corresponding Group
Note: the Jira Administrators rights supersede that of the Dashboard Folders Administrators so there is no need to include the Jira Administrator group(s)
