Anonymous users getting access request for a public space
Background
Our user guides are hosted on Confluence Cloud with public access granted.
However, some of the users will see a screen similar to this instead of viewing the Confluence page or Jira issue
When the request is submitted, the Atlassian Cloud site admin will receive an email notification like this
Workaround
It seemed like this is a bug tracked at CONFCLOUD-72099 and CONFCLOUD-72635
For users
Try to refresh the Confluence page again
Try to view the page using incognito mode or another browser
Try to log out of the Atlassian Cloud account
For Site admins
We discovered a workaround with the help of Atlassian Support
Go to https://admin.atlassian.com
Select your site
From the left sidebar, select Site access under Site Settings session
Click on the Access requests tab
Change the settings to New users can’t request access
Click on Save changes
